Emails versus Notifications

Quick question. I've unchecked email responses so that I don't receive an email from the site every time someone responds to a thread I'm in but I'm still getting emails. Do I have to uncheck notifications too? I'm not really sure what the difference is between the two. Any ideas appreciated.

Me too. I would like to know how to stop email notifications. I thought I had I turned off but I still get them. Not a complaint. I can delete them easily.

Click on your name up in the right hand corner scroll down to "Preferences". There you can click on the boxes you want to opt out of.

You might need to go back to the threads that youre getting them from and click the "unwatch" button.

Also go up to the left side and click on Watched. Then go to manage watched threads you can opt out of e mail notifications there as well.

In Preferences look under Content options try unchecking those two options that say and receive email notifications. Don’t forget to go to the bottom and hit Save when done

Hey try looking at the email and near the bottom try the option there that say disable all emails. Its near the very bottom.

• Go to your Preferences or Account Details.
• Look for the options labeled "Automatically watch threads you reply to" or "Content options".
• Uncheck the box that says "and receive email notifications" (or change your default watch state to "Alerts only" instead of "Email and alerts").
