Question, and looking for valid input.

Everlast 255EXT $1875.00 vs Everlast 205Si $1469.00

What are your opinions?

I need the extra options/versatility for stainless and aluminum.
 
I have the 255EXT. I only use it for tig, never plan to use the stick option.

I haven’t used any of the advanced settings. I just run it pretty standard and I think it runs great. I’ve welded aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel with it. For the money, I don’t think you can beat it.

I would like to eventually get a cordless pedal. That fucking cord is always a PITA.
 
I need to look at frequency tuning and balance and voltage, it matters for quality aluminum welds.
However I can't balance a cheaper price with a function of the plasma cutter included in multi process.
Is it as good as 255EXT,?
