Not going crazy on the Impala with speed parts, the 283 in it runs too good right now and it's supposed to be just a cruiser.
So I am going to keep running the 66 Vette Q-jet that I put on it a while back.

So post up any knowledge y'all might have.

Oh an a shout out to Foxy his thread actually helped me do some tuning on a Q-jet
I got it running pretty good last night after fiddle fucking with it.

It would stall when I put it in gear (powerglide) and was like what the fuck.
Still got a bit more tweaking to do but it is much better.

Im no Qjet guru by any means but this sounds like it could be a vacuum leak.

I have disassembled cleaned put a “kit” in them and about a 8 out of 10 I was extremely proud of the results. The other 2 I could have smashed with a sledgehammer until it looked like I was attempting to make Damascus.

Connect a vacuum guage and tune for the highest vacuum possible using timing and carb tuning. You can fine tune from there for off idle response.
